Elissa’s final project while earning her master’s degree in business was to create a fictitious business plan… She chose to create a wedding venue! Thus, the idea for Pine Haven Venue & Lodging was born.

Elissa and her husband, Matt, held their reception at Pine Haven Venue & Lodging in 2023, so she understands exactly what fellow brides are looking for in an event space.

Elissa has a passion to serve and is a 10-year veteran of the SD Army National Guard. When she isn’t working, you can find her hiking with her pups or camping with her husband.

Venue Manager

Mary is a proud military brat and is so grateful that the Air Force brought her family to the Black Hills. Mary studied Dance Education at Louisiana State University and spent four years in leadership positions at a local food co-op. Mary is an avid dog lover and you’ll find that dogs are her main topic of conversation, but most importantly, Mary is beyond excited to start her journey into the event industry with Pine Haven Venue & Lodging. She can’t wait to serve our clients and help them achieve THEIR perfect day.

Assistant Venue Manager

Born and raised in the Black Hills, Paige received her degree in communication from Chadron State College. Paige is well-versed in event management and thrives in a high-energy atmospheres. She’s been with Pine Haven Venue & Lodging since opening and has proven to communicate efficiently, problem solve effectively, and herd rowdy groomsmen when needed.

Assistant Venue Manager

Taylor is a seasoned professional in the wedding industry as she and her husband own a wedding videography business. Her experience working with couples provides her with a deep understanding of the intricacies of wedding day expectations. Her easy going nature and dedication to her work eases the “wedding day jitters” for couples on their special day.

When Taylor’s not working she’s a devoted wife and mother to her beautiful daughter. Taylor’s family is the center of her world, and she cherishes every moment spent together.
